R134A Replacement – OZ-30

OZ-30 (Blend)

(Formerly known as 134a Replacement)

High Purity R134a Replacement Refrigerant

Medium temperature hydrocarbon refrigerant

OZ-30 is a high purity hydrocarbon refrigerant blended from naturally occurring hydrocarbons. This blend is a direct replacement or retrofit option used to replace HFC R134a.

OZ-30 has a number of applications and is most suited to medium temperature applications. The most common applications include automotive air conditioning, commercial refrigeration, display cabinets and vending machines, cold storage and food processing, industrial refrigeration, transport refrigeration, small air conditioning systems, large air conditioning and chillers, heat pumps and hot water heat pumps.

OZ-30 operates at much lower head pressures and offers improved cooling properties and performance compared to R134a and R12.

By replacing existing R134a with OZ-30 in automotive air conditioning applications, vehicle interiors will be cooled approximately 30% faster due to the refrigerants higher critical temperature.

 APPLICATIONS

  • Automotive A/C
  • Domestic Refrigerators/Freezers
  • Commercial Refrigerators/Freezers

  • Good compatibility with R134a system components
  • Approx. 60% less charge required compared to R134a
  • Ozone Depletion Potential
  • Only 3 Global Warming Potential

 REPLACES

  • R134a
  • R12
  • Use instead of HFO-1234yf

COMPATIBILITY

OZ-30 is compatible with most common refrigerant materials including R134a and R12 metal components, lubricants, seals, gaskets hoses compressors and o-rings. Mineral oil is preferred, but also compatible with PAG, POE and AB lubricant oils. Most common elastomer and plastic refrigeration materials used as o-rings, seals and gaskets are compatible with Oz-Chill Refrigerants. Butyl hoses are incompatible and should not be used with hydrocarbon refrigerants.
